Provided a rigorous, safe and positive learning environment, where students were engaged in nonfiction/fictional literature at the 10th grade level. Created new units, lessons, and created summative assessments, analyzed data and shared best practices through constant collaboration. 


Differentiated instruction to a diverse student population, which included ELD, visually impaired and SpEd students. Created 3 yearbooks: Every Little Thing, No Big Deal and From Here to There. Instructed and lead a group of 30 students in the fields of photography, design, and copywriting. PROFESSIONAL PREPARATION

UCLA Declaration Project 2018-2019 — An action-civics workshop with a focus in freedom, equality and resistance that provided the tools and teachings of Youth Participation Action Research (YPAR) on social issues, which will be utilized and provide the background to initiate civics projects at OHS in Fall 2018 - Present.


LINK CREW TRAINING 2019 — Attended and engaged in a 3-day training on how to effectively create and nurture a successful  high school student orientation, transition programs, and student-to-student mentorship programs through The Boomerang Project: Link Crew Conference.


LGBTQ+Youth Identity Training 2018 — Engage and learn from a nonprofit in collaboration with the Ventura County Office of Education to provide culturally proficient training in order to better serve our LGBTQ+ youth.


The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History 2015 — A one-week seminar of The Great Depression and World War II from historians at Stanford University.
